On September 25, 2024, in the matter of Citizens for Chiquita Canyon Closure v. County of Los Angeles,  Judge Goorvitch will hear important arguments regarding the continued operations of the Chiquita Canyon Landfill in violation of their conditional use permit and without mitigation measures in place to protect public health.
